Síndrome de Burnout: Comportamiento del Indice de Maslach en Residentes de Cardiocirugía

Resumen

Las relaciones médico paciente se pueden ver seriamente afectadas cuando existen síntomas de inestabilidad psicológica por parte del facultativo, si precisamente se trata de la realización de una actividad quirúrgica estos riesgos se multiplican, por ello constituye una preocupación conocer el grado de estabilidad psíquica del personal con responsabilidad profesional relacionada a un proceder de cirugía lo que nos lleva a describir el comportamiento del Síndrome de Burnout entre residentes de cirugía cardiovascular de La Habana, así como, las estrategias de afrontamiento establecidas ante esta entidad. Se realizó un estudio descriptivo transversal a residentes de cirugía cardiovascular pertenecientes al Instituto de Cardiología y Cirugía Cardiovascular (ICCCV) y al Hospital Hermanos Ameijeiras (HHA), el universo estuvo constituido por 23 residentes y la muestra se conformó por 16 que mostraron su consentimiento. Se aplicó un cuestionario anónimo autoadministrado el Maslach Burnout Inventory. Entre los residentes de cirugía cardiovascular del ICCCV y HHA existió un bajo grado de Síndrome de Burnout y se proponen medidas de afrontamiento para disminuir los elementos que pueden constituir factores generadores tanto internos como externos.

A descriptive study was carried out transversal to residents of surgery cardiovascular belonging to the Institute of cardiology and Surgery Cardiovascular (ICCCV) and to the Hermanos Ameijeiras Hospital (HHA), the universe was constituted by 23 residents and the sample conformed for 16 that they showed their consent. Applied an anonymous questionnaire autoadministrado the Maslach Burnout Inventory. Among the residents of surgery cardiovascular of the ICCCV and HHA Syndrome degree a reduction exists of Burnout and are proposed measured of afrontamiento to diminish the elements that can constitute factors generators so much internal as external.
