Abstract

The cardiac amyloidosis refers to the involvement of the heart as a result of amyloid deposition in the heart tissue, either in the context of a systemic condition or in a localized way. A presentation case of a male patient of 89 years with several previous admissions for heart failure is present. This time admitted to our hospital with a new episode performing echocardiogram where severe biventricular hypertrophic and restrictive physiology with a marked cardiac dilatation suggestive biaricular amioloidosis observed. In magnetic resonance imaging during the late enhancement can be seen striking and representative images of amyloidosis as described previously, with a non-ischemic diffuse subendocardial late enhancement in both ventricles, atrial wall and atrial septum.
