Abstract

The prevalence of hypertension (27.5 %) at the "Claudio Argüelles" Bicycles Factory was related to the educational level and the color of the skin. A greater prevalence of hypertension was found among those with the highest educational level. The same thing was observed in the black individuals, although the differences between the 2 groups were not significant. 58 % of hypertensives were detected in this research.
